Poor mental health is now the number one reason for staff absence. Mental health training offers a cost-effective way to promote good mental wellbeing in your organisation and at home. I have substantial experience in facilitation and training, and have developed wellness projects with a range of organisations.

A range of project that I worked on include:

  • Training teacher wellbeing to Headteachers involved with the Teach First programme in the North West.

  • Workshops for teacher trainers on working with masculinities and the role it plays for male teachers and their students.

  • I delivered training for London museum for volunteers on recognising mental health for customers and building on communication and de-escalation for staff and volunteers.

  • Workshops on stress and wellbeing for Manchester City Council, Greater Manchester Police and several private companies.

  • A ‘walk in my shoes’ open day for a young people’s mental health project in Rochdale to showcase it’s impact faced with closure. This was to influence further funding with stakeholders and the local authority and led to the project remaining open.

  • Psychologically informed environment training for Petrus. The concept of the training is that it creates an environment that makes use of methods, which are informed by psychological theories and frameworks. It informs the way in which staff members think about the problems that their residents face, or how risk protocols and policies are written.
